Building Design for Contractor in Miamisburg

A contractor in Miamisburg needed more storage area at their operations facility. They had plenty of land, and they wanted to build a separate building to store construction materials. They wanted something inexpensive, yet durable and attractive.

Norton designed a 20' x 30' reinforced masonry building and gave the owner the option for an asphalt shingle or metal roof. To accommodate the contractor's material inventory, and available equipment, Norton designed a "bucket width" (grade beam) foundation wall and footer and specified #5 rebar, for which the contractor had in stock already. The construction plans were quickly approved by the building official, and the building began construction in June of 2011.
